Georgina is a lover of all things Nature

Meet Georgina. We loved her passion for anything to do with nature!

From exploring vast woodlands to riding across the countryside on her bike, she takes great comfort and happiness in those calm moments nature provides.

We headed to one of  her favourite nature spots, took advantage of the moody Autumn colours and got some lovely photographs of her in her element!

Q & A

Whenever possible, I try and get a quick Q & A with featured people, so we can delve a little deeper into their interests and passions. It’s also nice to find out more about new people you come across and get a feel of their past, their aspirations and some of the quirkiness that makes it all possible.

Here’s mine and Georgina’s chat together:

Hey Georgina! Any unusual or bizarre nicknames you're known as?

Mmmm nothing exciting mostly just George!

What is your dream job/vocation?

I would love to work with animals and to be outside, come rain or shine!

Let’s forget about the one word answer, what is your passion? Be as short or as detailed as you’d like.

My passion is nature, I love all things outdoors! Animals, trees, grass, you name it, I love it!

The way it smells when it rains, the feeling of the sun on your face, the views at the top of mountains and hills, sunsets or sunrises that are so beautiful that no photo will ever do justice!

Oh and Cows, I love cows… personally I think they are absolutely beautiful!

What got you interested in this particular passion?

Spending my summers in the countryside with my grandparents and one perk of being in the army was you got to see some beautiful bits of nature at crazy times of the day.

What else gets you excited? Could be other passions, a hobby - anything you deem relevant?

Travel, I would love to travel to all the weird and wonderful places in the world.
The gym, I like to try and stay in shape.. Cows can run fast and sometimes they chase you!

Can you tell me about some brands/companies or products which you love?

I don’t have any specific brands or companies that I love I’m more of a, if I like it I’ll buy it kind of girl.

Although I am rather partial to a RAB coat.

In today’s world, we are constantly connected to apps, websites and so much more through social networks and smart phones. Which apps, websites etc do you use on a daily basis and why?

Instagram I use daily I think mostly out of habit, sometimes it’s amazing and I love looking at photos – on bad days it can mentally rip you to shreds!

What is something about yourself that you hope will change?

The way I view myself.

Where would you like to visit in the future and why?

South Africa – The different culture and to see the animals.

Australia – For the same reasons and going in a shark cage is on my bucket list but I’m super clumsy so will probably slip, fall in the water and get eaten.

What’s your all-time favourite place to visit?

Canada, it was stunning. Amazing food, stunning country, all the seasons. What’s not to love.

What do you think about more than anything else?

What are the top THREE qualities that draw you to someone? (doesn’t have to be sexually, more in terms of intrigue/interest etc).

Kind eyes, Adventurous and a good sense of humour.

What is your strongest sense?

Smell is my strongest. Taste, Touch and smell are huge things to me and I think you can always remember how something tastes and you’re still getting your nutrients.

Have you got a favourite ‘all time’ movie?

Harry Potter Always!!!

What is your current occupation?

Operations coordinator

If you could describe your favourite passion in one word, what would it be?

Any particular ‘idols’ from your favourite passion? People that inspire you and motivate you?

My Grandad, he adored all animals! Every spring he would take us to hand feed the lambs and we would take long walks at the beach and along the cliff tops.

The same for travel, my grandparents retired in their 50’s and they travelled the world – I used to love looking at the photos!

How do you FEED YOUR PASSION? (Things you get up to which involve your passion in some way, large or small)?

Dog walking mostly, Darcy the dog comes up mountains with me and in the sea – the lot!

I like to travel to places that have lots to look at, buildings, beautiful views or just lots of history.

We’ve all got a past, full of highlights, low points and everything in between. If you had the power to go back in time and change one thing in your own past, what would it be?

As cliché as it is I would try harder at school. I knew I wanted to be a solider and I did just that, however you can’t control lots of things in life and I could say I would go back and not injure my leg therefore enabling me to stay in the army but by going back and working harder at school maybe I would have more opportunities available today.

I would also tell myself “ Mate don’t worry you’ll grow into your teeth and legs! Embrace it and that girl that’s a horrible when you’re a kid -she gets fat and has 12 kids”

What’s your favourite song right now?

Are you a creature of habit or an adventurous soul?

I am a mixture.

I hate my routine being interrupted and its comforting yet I’m desperate to break away and be the adventurous little soul I know I am.

What’s a strange occurrence/‘thing’ you’ve experienced but have never (or rarely) shared with anyone?

Depending if you do or don’t believe in spirits:

A few years ago I was asleep at my grandads and the dog woke me up whining, I looked over and a man was crouched looking out the window on the other side of the room, so I sat up.

He then stopped what he was doing, smiled at me and then walked out.

I described the man the next day to my mum and grandad in detail, his dark moustache and side parting, his build and the fact he had a very prominent ironed crease down the front of his trousers. They laughed and showed me a photo of her Grandad ( my great grandad ) and it was the exact same man.

My grandads house has been in our family for 3 generations now, I mean I could have been dreaming but who knows!

Can you give us some examples of things that have ‘amazed’ you?

Krispy Kreme Burger. AMAZING!

Ever find yourself singing or doing something a little ‘odd’ or out of the blue?

All the time. I am odd.

Which books are you currently reading or planning to read?

When making an entrance to a party/gathering, do you make your presence known? Do you slip in and look for someone you know? Do you sneak in quietly and find a safe spot to roost?

Always slip in and look for someone I know.

Thanks for your time Georgina!
